Who is Whitney Moorman?

Check out Lupe Valdez, Talent Agent, Q & A with Whitney.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN ACTING?

Started? I'm pretty sure my first cry out of my mother's womb was fake. You know taking real emotions and applying it to nothing in particular. (I'm kidding. I apply it to real or imaginary circumstances) Till this day crying is still my best attribute as an actress.

Seriously, my mother had put me in my first church play when I was 5 and I had to recite John 3:16, For God so Love the world... Then I took a drama class every year in grade school and studied theater in college.  I even had the opportunity to perform at the Mermaid Theater in London. I didn't decide to make acting a career until I moved to Los Angeles.

WHAT'S BEEN YOUR BIGGEST SUCCESS SO FAR?

I would say landing a role in Austin Found starring Craig Robinson (The Office), Linda Cardellini (Daddy's Home), and Skeet Ulrich (Riverdale) but now I am writing, directing, and starring in my own series Can I Get a Whitness?

WHAT'S YOUR NEXT PROJECT?

I'm the lead actress of Question 50 with Arlene Escarpeta (The Oath) and Kelly Perine (Knight Squad), which is currently screening in film festivals.

I've personally finished writing a feature film Miss New York which is about a small town girl who moves to New York for her final chance at winning the pageant crown. Additionally, I am developing 2 biopics with Goliath Film and Media.

WHAT'S YOUR DREAM ROLE?

Playing Diana Ross in a feature film. Everyone says I look like a young version of her and well since my name is Whitney, that just means I am already able to sing   ;)

WHAT'S THE FUNNIEST THING THAT HAS HAPPENED ON SET?

In the pilot Reborn, my character is weird, kooky and a little off. I guess my acting skills were so real that the cast kept saying how weird I was and whispering little shenanigans, that I actually started to lose my mind and almost snapped at one of my castmates. People in my personal life even clung to calling my weird so much that after the show wrapped I had to detox myself into learning how to be normal... Whatever that is.

WHAT MOTTO KEEPS YOU MOTIVATED?

"Live Your Dreams." The quote is from a song in one of my favorite movies 'Save the Last Dance. I often remind myself of these words so I will always remember to just live the life I've always dreamed of. Especially since I've literally had it planned out since I was 12. You can even check my dance clip below to see how much dance and that motto has inspired my joy in life.
